I bought all on the same day, the following-
Akercocke - Summon the Antichrist
Devin Townsend Presents - Ziltoid the Omniscient (digipak)
Twin Zero - The Tomb to Every Hope
And all three are fucking sensational. The latter I have found particularly excellent in a darkened room on a beanbag with some choice green...it's like space travel.

Good work my friend I only buy CDs on three conditions- If there's something about the CD that involves me needing the real thing (amazing packaging, limited edition gubbins) [ie Devin Townsend] If I know the band who's CD it is [Akercocke, their bassist perves around my forum and I'm always walking into him in the pub) otherwise I feel guilty. If I can't find it online and refuse to give my money to iTunes [Twin Zero...I only one one other person who's heard of them and that's because she saw them with me] ..oh yeah, and I tend to support the small local bands. Small being usually signed, and local being most of the UK.

Babes In Toyland was ok. Might take a few listens to to really like it. Then again, I have been spoiled by the sheer brilliance of Opheliac that anything else at the moment sounds poor in comparrison

I just came home with Serj Tankian's Elect the Dead, and I'm a little disappointed. It's very good but still not nearly as good as any of the SoaD albums.
