WOW..loads of people love Interview with a Vampire. I'm totally shocked. Boy, does Tom Cruise suck or what. I was so completely disaponted in that film. I was 20 when it was released and soooo excited. I had read the books when I was 11 so it was a long time in waiting for a movie version. I waited in line for almost 2 days, and cried after because it was so bad. Brad Pitt was Ok, and that little girl, Keirstin Dunst, was great, but I loathe Tom Cruise (with a bright shiny passion) and he singlehandedly ruined my favorite book of all time. I will never forget or forgive. Come to think of it...the next one to come out in movie format was The Queen of the Dammed, which was rubbish as well. Complete poo. How sad...two of the greatest literary works of the 20th century were reduced to such mindless drivel. Oh well, whatya gonna do? I do, however, own Interview and as much as I think Stuart Townsend is hot, I just cannot bring myself to purchase Queen. No matter how cheap it is at Target!! My favs : Horror/Dark-Comedy ( in no order): Stigmata Ichi the Killer Ringu Jaws Silence of the Lambs Dead Alive Heavenly Creatures The Others American Psycho Nosferatu (from 1922) Nightmare Before Christmas Rear Window Watcher in the Woods Heathers Mothman Prophicies Comedy (in no order): Monty Pythons Life of Brian Run Ronnie Run Napoleon Dynomite Harold and Kumar The Big Lebowski (" I'm the Duuude, the Dudester") Trading Places Spinal Tap, Waiting for Guffman, Best in Show, A Mighty Wind( they all count as one) A Fish Called Wanda Blues Brothers Dazed & Confused Blazing Saddles Shaun of the Dead School of Rock Witches of Eastwick Favs all around: (in no order) BBC's Pride & Prejudice (Ooooo Colin Firth as Darcy, is it warm in here?? ) Bridgette Jones Diary (Oooo Colin Firth as Darcy... It is warm in here!!!!) Quills The Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind**THIS IS AN ABSOLUTE ACE MOVIE!!**** Plunkett and MacCleane Trainspotting Dark Crystal Millers Crossing Star Wars Trilogy (mainly Empire) Shawshank Redemption Pump up the Volume Pirates of the Caribbeane Mists of Avalon (even though it was incredibly cheesily done ) Gosford Park (I've seen this 200 times and I still catch shit I never saw before...watch it with subtitles) Snatch Elizabeth Willow all 3 LOTR Princess Bride The Outlaw Josey Wales Amelie Ghost World American Splendor Goonies Labrynth Fightclub Harry Potter (all of 'em) Bettlejuice Ledgend of Sleepy Hollow Plunkett and MacCleane I could go on & on...this was a test of wills, I tell ya!

The books make you actually feel as if you're right there...with Lestat and Louie. They're so rich and vivid. Oh, I really love those books. Yeah, I almost walked out of the theater when Queen was playing 'cause it was just so unbelievably awful, but I felt I needed to see it through to the end. It was my waste of $7.50, oh well.

yeap, movies based on books have the "time problem"... so they delete other arguments, scenes or details that maybe are the best ones... but not the most commercial ones... i always prefer to sit down and spend time reading the books, letting them to show me the entire story. and if i can, i will go and check the movie ;D

There are so many, plus I love the few Fred Astaire/ Ginger Roberts movies I've seen, I love Jane Powell movies - shes adorable and her voice is amazing. Gene Kelly movies... I'll stop there and just say that I'm pretty much an old school movie buff ;D The actors then were so multi talented and really sexy, elegant - they were real starlets and the men... *sigh* lol they just dont make em like that damnit!
