I'm sure this is a big issue, especially for those with huge collections but what kind of shelving do you get to hold your dolls?
I'm looking more along the lines of a bookshelf-type thing. right now my way of displaying them was by putting them on shelves that lined my walls but yeah, I think I'm about to run out of that space quickly at the rate I'm going haha. eventually I would looove to get a cabinet to display them in so that I can take the dolls out of their coffins *GASP! the horror!* but that's way down the road.

I have to wait until i have my own house, cause my idea is a big wooden cupboard with doors of glass where you can see all my babies out of their coffins. Yeah, I don´t like my babies sleeping in their coffins all the time. Freedom for my babies!!!!!!!!!!!!!LOL ;D ;D ;D ;D

Wow. You guys have such nice collections and shelfs. I'm so jealous! I'm bidding on my first now, but will have to keep him hidden from my parents because they wouldn't be too thrilled. ^^; I'll still never have as many as you guys though! I hope one day to just have normal bookshelfs set up for them though, I play with things too much to keep behind glass and put in places. : D

babylilith~ that's what I want to do, well I want to get a curio because they're the hardcore type of display casing hahaha. but mostly because of the whole setup with the lighting and the mirroring. plus they'd be protected from the dust that could collect on them and stuff. but like you, that's going to have to wait til I get my own place. and I'll most likely need more than just one.
crazystrange~ wow, awesome collection. what do you do about the dust that accumulates? that's kind of what I'm looking to avoid. I mean it's a pain to dust them now but at least they're safely inside their coffins. as it is my shelving is like your's but the three are seperated [two together on one wall and a third on another] but whenever we move I'll only have two...maybe I'll just make one reeeeeeealllly long shelf haha
stephie~ awww more nice collections. some day, I shall have an eggy! haha
mortimer~ yeah I have a set list of what I want and I'm trying to stick to it as they are the only ones I REALLY want. I tend to be picky too and there's only one series I want to complete [series 5] so that helps too. however they keep coming out with more! augh! hehehehehe =)
which one are you bidding on?

I'm bidding on a Eggy, not the series 1 one, the blue one. ^^ I kind of hope I lose though. x3 !!! I want to get a Sadie. ^^ I guess I'll get her eventually though, her and Maggot... *___* I know what you mean. x3 I don't want to go overboard because I don't really have the money to, or the space. So like you, it's just the ones I love the most! I wish they would quit making all of them so cute though, it would make it so much easier on us!

babylilith~ I can't wait to get them all together again, it's silly but I miss them! hahaha
mortimer~ ahh eggy! I want one sooo badly, I'm going to have to get one eventually. I don't care if it's white, blue or blood-stained I just want a full-sized eggy. I think it's the one doll I'm not picky about which version it is hahaha. I have schooltime sadie, the original is adorable though too. good luck with it either way!
with me it's like, the only complete series I hope to get is series 5 *my favorite* and I'd probably only almost complete series 2 because I'm halfway there as it is. but as a whole I generally only like 1-3 of the dolls out of a series. like with series 10 I went nuts over tina black, arachne and mildread but then I saw them in person and only liked arachne & mildread *which I got, wheee!* and now that images of series 11 are out I like three of them but I could see that number dropping as well.

Fallen~ In answer to your dust accumulation question...i don't really seem to have any dust on my dolls, even the ones dressed in white or cream...i dunno why but it jut doesn't seem to settle on them, i really need to update my collection photo though lol i now have a complete series 1, both lost varients, both dottie rose varients, all 3 angus varients and series 10.

crazystrange~ wow! I can't wait to take new collection pictures, but it's going to be months before I can get my stuff out of storage and by then I'll definitly have more dolls haha. it's like I take pictures and get more...never ending =)
as for the dust, you're lucky. my current room would get really dusty and I suppose part of it is on me because I wouldn't really dust on a regular basis and then find a coating on everything that was on the shelves. the higher ones are the worst.
babylilith~ I hated packing them haha. thankfully all of them *well all the ones I had at the time* fit into one box with my nightmare before christmas things so it's all together but because I got a new one for my birthday *which ended up at the new house* and then the three for christmas I feel scattered haha. someday, they shall all meet and be happy hahaa

Well, Fallen, about the dust question, I have some porcelain dolls in display in my room, and I cover them with plastic bags, they are visible and they are dust free, also you can display them in a covered place, like under a box or something like that.
I suggest making a doll house for the LDD's, that would be a must have, lets just wait for Ed and Damien to come out with that idea...

I have over 100 full size LDD's and every mini x2, so you can be sure I don't have enough shelving AT ALL, so, what I do is I rotate my LDD's every month or so. I have a few shelves up, but rotating them seems to be good enough for now. We are moving in a month, after I get into my own house again, I will buy a huge display case from iKEA(they have really good ones) for ALL my LDD stuff. My hubby collects Predator and Alien things, so we'll need a REALLY BIG display case for everything to fit. I also have a TON of other Gothic collections that need to be displayed. I really have too much $$ and time on my hands, I swear!!! GREAT collection pics everyone!!!! Here are some older pics of my entire(almost) collection
