I had a blast and thought I'd share some photos! Got to meet Ed & Damien and my son shared in the experience. Got to meet Ed & Rita of UHL house that make Krypt Kiddies and also a fellow boardie on the KK boards Crys. They're one of my favorite doll artists. These are two KKs I picked up while there, Frick & Frack. I got to meet a Ghostbuster! Ernie HUdson aka Winston. Then there was this scary guy my son was terrified of. Corey Fieldmen couldn't be there and I couldn't find Freddy but it was all good. It was a great time!

cleosis, you look SO familar! I bet I wandered past you during the day haha if you don't mind I'm posting my pictures here as well =) [myself and sid haig, AKA captain spaulding from the "house of 1000 corpses" and "the devil's rejects" films] [me and edward furlong, from "terminator 2", "american history X", "pecker", "detroit rock city", and the latest crow film among many others. this picture makes him look SOOOO bad but honestly in person he wasn't all slumped over like that haha] [with ken kirzinger, who played jason in "freddy vs. jason". he was really cool to talk to] [with a fake jason who was walking around] [me and my friend jen with a fake freddy & batman. the guy dressed as freddy was really funny, I liked him and it slightly made up for not being able to meet the real one] [autographs and a free "the black dahlia" movie poster I snagged. I ended up not buying ANYTHING but photographs for autographs. the photos are incredible quality though so it's okay]

Great pics, looks like you had fun too! I didn't get to meet Freddy either. I didn't even see the guy from terminator nor Batman! I didn't go intot the Friday the 13th room because I have only seen the first and I don't know the actors. I have never seen what spalding guy was in either. I felt like I shouldn't have really been there because of that but I loved meeting some of my fav artists!
There were some great shirts walking around! I'm like addicted to horror cons now! LOL Festival of Fear sounded awesome but I wasn't making it to Canada.

I had such a blast, not only meeting some of my favorite actors and such but I got to meet a couple of really good friends who for the last four years were only known through the internet. just made it all the more special getting to actually hug them and speak to them.
for the jasons, I really only knew of the last two by name. however the woman who played mrs. vorhees & the girl who played alice from the first couple of films was also there. they usually are at every one but I completely forgot to look for them =X I loved how they were all put in "the crystal room" hehehe
I think that so long as you appreciate the genre and the people who work behind them there's nothing wrong with going and not exactly meeting EVERYONE or even knowing who everyone is. you go for your own reasons, not to please everyone else.
depending on who will be there, I was really hoping to be able to save up and go next summer but considering a family vacation that I have coming up I don't know if that's going to be possible seeing as it might cut into that weekend =(

I want to go to Chiller this year even though the line-up isn't as intriguing as last year. There's something about a horror con on Halloween weekend that makes it more Halloween! I don't have a house kids come to for candy anymore so got to get my kicks somehow! I do miss scaring the crap out of the kiddies.

That sounds like alot of fun! I miss handing out candy. I used to hang Barbies by their necks from the porch roof and I'd remove Ken's head and put him on the stairs so that the blood would run out of his neck and down the stairs and congel around his head. I would dress creepy or in normal clothes with a undead face. I would make sidewalk outlines od dead bodies and make a creepy old lady in the rocking chair. One year when my friend was helping give out candy I was banging on the window from the inside when the kids would come up then I would throw the window open, climb out and attack my friend. Really freaked the kids out! I actually broke the window during that. Oops, old windows! I just miss scaring people! I live in an area with alot of trees and driveways are very spaced out and there's no street lights so no one trick or treats here. It's an awesome setting though for parties. I like I have theme parties and do scavenger hunts in my yard. I haven't done one in a couple of years. Was going to try for this year but 30th b-days cost a little too much. Ahhh the old days.
