I had to write a poem for veteran's day and i need to hand it in on monday, i sorta slapped this one together hurriedly, could i get some feedback/help? thanks xxxxx
Remember
The weeping poppies droop as we struggle to keep the memories of veterans alive, They fought against the malevolence of one man. In a war nobody wanted to happen, brave men and women died, It wasn’t in the plan.
It wasn’t foreseen that we would send hundreds upon hundreds of soldiers overseas, The deception and evil was but one person’s dream. Why did so many Canadians suffer? When we were only a little part of the master scheme.
So, remember the bravery of our veterans, nurse and soldier alike, Know that they fought with all their cunning, To save this country, Of what it was becoming.
They allied with America and England and France, They helped refugees; they bandaged their souls, They knew that it could be over in a flash, But they fought to help fill other’s bowls.
Now most soldiers lie in Flander’s fields, And they are alone some days, But if you go pay tribute to them, You may heal the poppies’ weeping ways.

I love it! Our school only gave us one chance to buy poppies for rememberance day, and they didn't tell us when it was, I think it's good that you're school gives you a better chance to celebrate it. I wanted a poppy =(
Sorry...anyway...back to what I was originally saying....I love it! And hopefully your teachers will too. I know someone may hate me for saying this but you could include something about the German soldiers dying...afterall they suffered too =\

I know that german soldiers suffered too.. but it's for the royal canadian legion and they may not appreciate it if i don't dedicate it all to them.... they are a little bit um... hot headed or whatever you wanna call it.
