I wrote your name down on a small scrap of paper that I found in the ashes of a city burned by the fury of the world.
Prometheus had stolen the flames of Olympus, and made the mistake of handing such power to man kind.
Their self destructive species led them to a world of bare earth.

There was nothing left but scarred metal skeletons of buildings and factories.
...nothing but a disgusting view of charred blackness everywhere you looked.

Not even the highest peaks of the mountains were safe.
The bones of the trees twisted and defected by the heat.
"look grandma, that tree is sick" he said as they were led into a forest of dead branches, a haze of smoke constantly filling their lungs.

I held on to that piece of paper as if it were a map to the underworld.
Your name a raft in the river Styx.

Morpheus would not let me dream of you in sleep, so I did not sleep.
Eros would not answer my prayers for you... so I sacrificed what was left of the world.

You should never trust the gods.
We are their marionettes.

I don't have much I can possibly say about this aside from the fact it makes me think, and it reminds me of how I feel. It's relatable but untouchable.

Almost empyrean. Mind you that would come with the myth references.

I'm glad you like it.
I used to be really into greek and roman mythology.
... so I wrote something that had that sort of theme.
I wish more people would READ IT though.
