This Rejection

I wrote this for Anti-Bullying week....I think I'm about the only person entering the competition =P Anyway, I wanted to know what you think of it. We had to include the 'bystander' theme so I've done that too.

This Rejection

Do you really think about me
As you watch me fall to my knees?
Is it fun to hear, from a throat screamed dry,
The sound of my soul as it breaks down and cries?
Just turn blind eyes, walk away,
Your pure white innocence becomes murky grey.
Their cruel laughter rings in my ears,
Destroying hopes, preserving my fears.
This rejection, you don't have a clue,
This rejection isn't happening to you.
It could only take one, one to lead,
To lead them away from these heartless deeds.
You don't understand, it would mean so much
To stop feeling this pain, this icy touch
But this rejection we don't feel or see
Before we know it is happening to me.

Oh Evie it's brilliant *hugs*
I really like it, it captures the pain of the person being bullied and how they feel 'the bystander' could be helping them. It made me feel guilty, and i wasn't even there!

'This rejection, you don't have a clue,
This rejection isn't happening to you.'

.. Those lines really jumped out at me because they had such a direct point.
