As my world ended • A spiral dance of dust circled; my immobile stance of unbound time. Silent-eyed; I stood in the gleaming world—brazen as it soaked up the fresh rain. Dropping with the cadency of a dusky night; each torturous tear leaked slowly--as it fell to kiss the waters. Mesmerized; I stood; the wind was a thin whisper; lurking abaft like a spiders thread. Weaving webs of memories that are near invisable to the human eye; a glimpse may only revel the innocence undone. Yet still remaining undiscovered, was the folding flower’s lore. Such beauty fades so fast in a word of voiceless dreams; so fading before my hungry eyes, I reach out to grasp a palm full of nothingness. Through the sad and poignant dirge, I found not a breathing soul or a beating heart. Curiously I stood alone sowing in the last shaft of shining light. I watch the burning fire go grey and the light draw down starkly, praying that I too would die.
