Caged

My mind holds me captive in this empty shell called a body.

I am just an entity locked inside.

This is no love triangle between my mind, my body, and I... this is hate.


I fear for my life, therefore I am caged by my mind.

Screaming and hating, it won't let me die.

Empty and floating, it keeps me alive... but barely.

I hate myself,

I fight myself,

I harm myself... satisfaction for my mind.

My captor, my mind, controls my will from time to time.

I have no control, and this fear of myself is just another bar on the cage.



(I wrote this in a creative writting class, she asked us to write about something that cages us...)
