Since I adore Nick Cave and The Badseeds I decided to write my own Murder Ballad!

Storm
Watching from the shadows
Was the darkness that cast
Moonlight on the river
Rowing in the waters
Was a silent young lass
But beautifully lonely, she shivered
I saw him at the waters edge
beneath the willow tree,
gazing down the shadowy stream
Looking for tragedy
As if it was his destiny,
then his eyes met mine, and it was but a dream
“Come onto this world of mine
We will float through the darkness”
She said in a voice sounding like a sad song
And I looked into her eyes,
And replied with a smile,
Knowing that what I saw in her eyes was love
Clouds had filled up the sky
And world has grown colder,
waters started thrashing and the skies benighted…
She cried in the silence
Then asked me to hold her
So I took her into my arms
and asked her if shed seen
The pain of a lost love
The current thrashed wildly and
Drowned the sound of her screams
The sharp rocks at the bottom
Seemed to echo above...
“Come onto this world of mine
We will float through the darkness”
