Familiar (poem)

This is so new to me,
It feels so bad
It makes me laugh.
Then I remember
It's familiarity,
This Is how I used to be.

It still stings
Like it did back then;
Makes old scars open again.
But the arrow
Hits deeper still,
It's been aimed to kill.

And I find myself
Thinking the same thoughts
I'm not strong enough to support.
Now square one
Has come around again,
A comfortable sleep
With a familiar pain.
