butterfly (poem)

Like a butterfly
Released from my cocoon
I never thought the sun
Would shine through so soon.

And Blessed With these wings
Together we shall fly,
Love amongst the flowers
As the world flutters by.

Our reflection in the lake,
The truth as clear as this
Pure running water,
A sweetly sincere kiss.




I wrote this thinking about my boyfriend on Tuesday. He dumped me on Wednesday. I don't think he realises what he's lost lol.
