i wrote this on friday whilest at work cos i was thinking about his funeral the day before.
Ode to Kris
I think about you every day
About the things I didn’t say

Never forgotten but sorely missed

it still needs some work cos im not entirely happy with the way the first stanza is worded but i'm pretty proud of it cos it took about 15 mins to write.

thanks, i really miss him, even though his funeral was 2 days ago it still hasnt sunk in that he's really gone, i was sat in the staffroom at work flicking through my phonebook and i almost called his mobile to tell him about how beautiful the funeral was. (it really was, his bother and his closest friends carried his coffin into the church and to the gravesite and two of his mates sang songs 4 him in church, they sang time of your life by greenday and the hallellua (can't spell) song that is played at the end of shrek 1, and as his coffin was lowered into the ground they had someone play the last post on the bugle which he would have loved cos his bugle was his most prized posession, they even burried him in his full blues navy uniform, he looked so smart when i went to pay my respects in the chapel of rest) i nearly cried today when i realised there would be no answer if i called him.  |
