Here's one I wrote back in 95 and revised it a touch recently.

Cry For Me


Verse 1) Times been standing still,
Been standing still too long.
Our love I must kill,
It’s time I was gone.
Feels like you’ve trapped me,
Fallen in far too deep.
Trying to do this gently,
Pain you won’t wanna keep.

Chorus) Cry for me if you must,
My tears are covered in rust.
Cry for me if you want,
My tears are lost in dust.
You won’t see me cry…

Verse 2) It’ll all be over soon,
You won’t see me again.
Gone by the next moon,
Sorry if I cause you pain.
Yeah it’s time to part,
Can’t go on this way.
Time to free my heart,
I wanna do it today.
