Do Dresscoats fall in this category? You mean Frock Coats...like from the 1700's?? Like the ones Lestat would wear or a Highwayman?? Those are Fabulous coats. I have 2 just like that...only cut for a woman and the buttoms are different. 1 is black & silky and the other is black velvet. I always considered this type of fashion more HippieGothic. I own 2 cloaks with hoods, 1 black velvet (which was bought as a holloween costume) and one burgandy velvet. I also have this really great black velvet and lacy romantic, empire waisted, bell sleeved , square necked, tunic. It's gorgeous. It was a gift from my mother. I was shocked...she usually laughs at my clothes. I'll have to take some pics. I just can't do it justice.

i love velvet, espescially black velvet or burgandy velvet...i have a black crushed velvet dress that kinda reminds me a bit of hollywood's dress w/o the feathers though and it has beads on the top...i would post a pic but my digi cam is broken
