my mom woulda had my head if i told her i wasnt going to go to my prom, so Im going to go which is awkward but i decided id much rather be awkward in a pretty dress than awkward not feeling pretty. my mom and i split the price of a dress, i got it at betsey johnson (which i adore...but is soooo expensive. i never bought from there before untill now) the dress isnt something i would have thought id be wearing. its not black. its purple and pink. top of the dress (the pink section in the middle and upwards) has some boneing in it, so its a bit structured and corsety like. im still not sure i like how it looks on me but people tell me it looks great so im trusting them...or trying to at least... and im not going to wear those silver shoes btw. i really would like to hear what you guys think. i honestly feel like the dress is pretty, but i only feel pretty in it becuase my mom adores it...i think its a pretty dress i just sort of think i look not great in it. i need a little confidence before prom see it looks sooo much prettier on this model i feel uber ugly

I think it looks great on you! I'd love to see more pics of it but it looks really nice. I totally agree that you should be comfortable in what you wear to prom, my first prom I wasn't and hated it. then for my senior prom I went with something I really loved and it was great, I felt like a princess.
if it makes you feel better, when they shoot clothes like that on models they're usually pinned up all through the back to keep them looking "fitted" and perfect like that.

tbh Stephie it doesn't look better on the model. lol. the only differnce is I think the model is better picture quality. you're gonna look like a princess at your prom =] &everyone will be jealous. or at least I am if that's any consolation hehe. i don't think you have anything to worry about babe.

The dress is really pretty. It's hard to see what YOU look like in it because you cut of out so much of yourself like your head which is a really important feature! I did the go with what my mom likes type of dress for my senior year homecoming. It's was alright but kept getting the feather trim stuck to my lipstick. lol
Go and have a good time for yourself. You will look ravishing! And give us more pics with the whole enchilada!

I like that dress, it's very pretty. It looks alot better than the dresses I wore to my Jr. and Sr. Proms. I say get some pinky/purply shoes and have all the fun you can at Prom.
