Does anyone here know where I can find out more about a transdermal coral implant?
From what I've heard through word-of-mouth, live coral can be grafted to the bone and slowly grown and sanded into shape. The bone recognizes the implant as a part of itself and provides calcium etc, giving the coral the appearance and hardness of real bone.
I've found some references to this on the net, enough to know it's real, but not enough to tell me what I don't already know, like where I could get this done and is it even legal.
If this is genuine and can be done in New Zealand, I'm going to start growing a set of four horns on my head asap.
EDIT: never mind, I emailed a bodmod shop and asked them about it, apparently coral implants only exist as an idea as of now. I think I'll get some that screw in.

Yes technically it is possible, but it's a largely untested procedure and I doubt I'd be able to get it done in New Zealand.
I'd be better off with ones that screw into an implanted base, then I can take them out if I go to visit my grandma.

Well it looks like that and all the other mods I want will have to wait, I have some new priorities to focus on for now. Trust me though, you'll know about it when I do get this done.

Won't be for ages sadly, I'm saving all the spare money I can scrounge up from now until the end of next year for a couple of VIP's coming in from overseas.

It's probably going to happen at some point, but these VIP's are two kids I'm adopting. Nothing and nobody comes before them, they're actually a large part of the reason I broke up with my girlfriend yesterday. Also I have to talk to my future partner about this at some point(yup, typical of me, I've already met someone else). The "future" part is because she's overseas and can't come to New Zealand for ages, by the way. Since she's practically the female version of me she should be cool with it, but I'm at least going to ask her. Oh, and try to turn the caps lock off first next time please zota666

Coral?!?! WTF? That sounds a bit rank.
As far as I was aware, if you wanted to take an implant out, you have to cut them out. If you just unscrew the jewellery (ball, spike, etc) you're left with a couple of mm of steel/titanium thread poking out yourself.
Microdermals are the new thing, easier to install and remove than transdermals. I'm fortunate to live about 2 miles from one of the best piercers in the country (if other London piercers turn down work and tell the client to "go to Bodyworks in Croydon instead", then they must be good) I believe they're currently experimenting with them.

I don't think that microdermals would hold horns in as big as the ones I want.

I'd assume you have to get that then get custom-made jewellery.
I'm making horns in time for halloween with the magic of (expensive) makeup. Will probably be using £80 worth of Prosaide in the process and it'll take weeks to dry prior to application, but they'll look awesome and probably won't come off for days, even after 12 hours in the local theme park. It's the less permenant and less painful way of going about it....
