makes me think of little apple dolls. i finally caved in and bought the book. ill admit it was a decent read. every time i see the cover i think of LADs though  have any of you read this? if so, what did you think? |

Mylady(ade) read them and recommended the three of them(I think is a trilogy at the moment) She told me that they are for younger readers but you spend a great time with them  |

yep I think they are young adult books, as twilight were easy to read but still a good story line. where is mylady btw? bring her back!  |

so I just read all the other books in the series and im now one of the stupid girls in love with edward cullen. they are great series!

I LOVE this series. I got the second & third books for my birthday last year but I hadn't gotten the first yet so I ended up putting it off until maybe early this year to actually start reading them and I was hooked. I ended up reading all three within a week, then I had to wait a couple of months for the last one to come out haha. totally worth it though, I absolutely love them.
I also adore edward, but I'm not a fan of the actor whose playing him in the upcoming film. none of the actors/actresses even come close to how I envisioned them but I guess that's just how it is.
have you ever read "a great and terrible beauty"? it's another young adult series but it's about witchcraft. I've only read the first but I really liked it as well and want to check the others out.

haha yep that's it! I used to see it at work and wanted to read it based on the cover alone as well haha, that's probably not a good reason to read something but it's a marketing trap that I gladly fall into. it takes place in a time when corsets were part of everyday attire though so it does fit with the story.
I can't wait to see how you feel about it =)

I was told I HAD to read the Twilight books by a friend who has similar tastes as me, and I liked them well enough. Easy read, good tempo but a bit overly romantic for my taste. I think that unlike almost all the other fans (from what I have read online) I thought that Breaking Dawn (book 4) was the best in the series. I read the entire series in less than a month.
Stephanie Meyer also wrote a book called The Host which is not in the YA section and I liked it too... except the ending was a bit... off to me.

me too. i loved book 4, their was so much more action. it was waay more intense.
Whats the host about...is it worth going out to buy?

Aliens have taken over earth, but they are parasites and they use humans bodies as their own. It is about a very special 'soul' (what the aliens call themselves) who is put into a girl who's mind remains present along with the souls and their search to make a life with the refugee humans left in the world. I would suggest it, yes.
