i really want a labret pericing. the only thing that is stopping me is a)my mom throwing a fit and b) the fact that if i dont love it and dont want it i will end up with a scar on my face

I wouldn't get it done until your mum is definately ok with it. My mum's now officially fine with whatever I get done (She reeled back in horror when she saw my 6mm tunnels, but doesn't care now), cause at the end of the day, if you love and respect your mum, you wouldn't do something to yourself that she really does not want you to do, she did after all make you, which is the biggest favour anyone can do.

it doesnt scar that badly, you can barely notice where i took my nose piercing out a few months ago, it's just a very pale pink dot now.

b) the fact that if i dont love it and dont want it i will end up with a scar on my face Small chance of that. A labret would suit you well, I doubt you're going to get sick of it anytime soon. New lip piercings can be annoying for a couple of weeks until you get used to them. After I got my snake bites in I had trouble eating or drinking anything without dribbling, and I had minor problems with speech as well. But then again, I had the weight of two large ball-jointed rings to get used to, one little stud wouldn't be as bad. If you can talk your mum around, I say you should go for it.

Had mine for about 6 or 7 years and feel strange each time I take it out. I'd go for it when you can and it will leave a little white dot-scar under your lip, but battle scars are the price to pay for things you want on your body.
