I don’t know if people did this as children, but when I was younger I used to sing this song with my friends and it was sort of like a game...I never thought of how disturbing it was….did you guys ever do this?
“Concentrate” went like this:
Child 1 sings: “People are dying; children are crying…concentrate; concentrate” (have the person close there eyes and shake them furiously by there shoulders)
Child 1 sings “Crack an egg on your head; let the yolk drip down (slam on the top of their head and then either pour water all over there neck or run your fingers down…the yolk)
Let the yolk drip down, yolk drip down, let the yolk drip down”
Child 1 sings “Stab a knife in your back; Let the blood drip down (make a stabbing motion and punch in back, then make pretend blood drip down)
Let the blood drip down, Let the blood drip down, Let the blood drip down
Child 1 sings “Cut another line in your vein, and watch it spout,
And watch it spout, and watch it spout, and watch it spout” (dig your fingernails into the underside of their arms and wrists to form scratches)
Child 1 sings “You’re on top of a skyscraping building and spinning
and spinning, and spinning, and spinning, and spinning” (have them stand up and still closing eyes guide them in spinning in a circle)
Child 1 sings “You look down You look down
Next thing you know it and you’re dead on the ground” (push them)
Child 1 sings “You’re dead on the ground”
Child 1 sings “People are dying; children are crying…concentrate; concentrate” (switch places! Now its your turn to be the dying person!(child2) Yaaay)
