*blows dust off the thread*
Hey I thought I'd find it here. I see everyone on the series 14 thread so was trying to maybe get peeps over this way.
I went to Gettsyburg this weekend for a 3 day reeanctment. It was alot more fun then I thought it would be. I really enjoyed the historic town of Gettysburg and the people dressed up in period clothing. I'm a sucker for dress up. Guess I never out-grew it.
I took a ghost tour which was really neat and even got myself a dress from the civil war era. We decided we're going about again this Oct or Nov because we didn't get to see and do all we wanted. There's so much history there and it really intrigued me.
The reeancatment takes alot of time so unless you skip parts you miss the town itself.
So how's everyone's summer been? I've been busy since my son got out of school and I'm really starting to not like the sun. heheMy poor nose is going to peel off if I get burnt on it again.

For my birthday I get to pack for cub scout camp. Yes that's right, tomarrow I leave for a week of cub scout camp with my son. I organized it this year and am one of the leaders going. It's the busiest week too. I can't wait. hahaha
See you all in a week in case you wondered where I went.

LOL wow that was awhile ago. It was great! Tiring but fun. Kids can be so amazing. I used to be afraid to be around a bunch of kids now I don't mind it so much. Guess I grew up over the year.
The camp staff had great ebergy and spirit so you couldn't help but have it too. They dressed up in the roman theme and would do skits. It was cool.

Good, I got loads of work to do though! BLAAAAH! I went to see my friend's band at the weekend, it was the first time they'd played for about a month, cause their drummer left (I assume not on good grounds, they only just managed to convince him to do their gig in Amsterdam) So Saturday they unveiled the "*very* good Mexican drummer"- Oskar.....  ...We like him. |
