Do you guys have any goth lit favourites? Id like to start a goth/lit disscussion thread...so poof im doing it. Disscuss your favourite books, authors, genres, gothic writers ect so what are your favs? Lets see..mine must be... Gothic lit: Dantes Inferno, Mary Shelly's Frankenstein, Bram Stokers Dracula and Lord Byrons of and Ann Radecliffe Horror Lit: Stephen King's Carrie, I also like Poppy Z Brite...and I know Anne Rice is good but ive never read her stuff. General lit: Francessca Lia Block, Cate Tiernan, Chris Cummings (Preacher) Poets: Sylvia Plath, Poe, John Milton's paradise lost and dantes inferno and yours? I just love the beautiful creepy gothic imagry in all of the gothic lit...the stormy nights or misty dusks and the smell of death dispearsing into the omnious and barren lands of roaming poltergeists...lol good discription?

I'm a late comer to the writing of Anne Rice but have seriously got into her now The books I've read so far are, Interview with the vampire, Violin, Lestat, Merrick and Pandora. Loved all of them. Am about to start Queen Of The Damned

oh 'The Picture Of Dorian Gray' is amazingg!! Just now i'm MAD about Lewis Carroll. I recently bought his complete works. i also like a little scifi. John Wyndam is good. Poetry i only particularly look at classics atm; tennyson, lovelace.
