ok, i know this may come as a complete shock, but i do not own one single Living Dead Doll. *gasps* the horror... i've seen them here and there, but to be completely honest, i feel like i've been living under a rock. i found this place and did a couple more searches and i had no idea they were such a phenomena! i always thought they were awesome of course, but never really thought about buying one....until now. so i guess i want to ask of you all... where do i start? and do you have any advice for me?

I wouldn't go out and buy just any doll. Get the ones that appeal to you that way it's a more personel collection. You want to be happy and really like your collection. Especially after money you'll find you'll spend on them. You want to make it worth your while. The official website has a photo archive of all the dolls out to date if you want to take a gander and see which ones jump out at you. I would agree starting with the series presently out as it will be less expensive.
I have all the dolls I want not every doll made. I pick the ones that most appeal to me. I also have a pez collection and I just buy those but they don't really matter to me.

I second that! unless you want to collect for the purpose of collecting hoping to re-sell (which is no fun!) buy your favourites and pass on the ones that are just okay. and if i were you i would let them outta there coffins but thats just a personal descision of mine ;D |

I never set mine free. I remove the shrinkwrap but never do I take them out with the one exception of Posey (I have 2) and Elisa's variant(she begged me). But as for what everyone else is saying...I'd go with them. Just buy the ones you really like that way it's more personal. Hot Topic sells them, Tower Records, Suncoast Movies, and loads of places and folks on the internet sell them. Sir Robert(57Chevys) is a GREAT person to buy from. Check out his list of LDD's for sale, you won't be dissapointed.  |
